Derby council scraps plans for new 200,000 sq ft HQ

Derby city council has scrapped plans to relocate to a new headquarters building within the city.

Instead, the council plans to spend £40m on refurbishing and extending its existing 1930s-built HQ by building a four-storey extension in its courtyard.
