Developer Xpercity has acquired Lambert House in Cheadle, Greater Manchester, and has plans to redevelop the office into 106 homes.
The development, which will be known as Weavers Yard, is set to be designed by Damion Marcus Burrows Architects.
Xpercity is part of the BR2.0 Group of companies, alongside Big Red Construction which earlier this year announced a “significant war chest” to purchase and develop residential sites across the North and Midlands.
Lambert House is a 62,464 sq ft office, previously acquired by Featherfoot Lambert House for £6.2m in 2022, according to Radius data. The 3.5- acre site also has two office buildings and 276 car parking spaces.
Mike Lomas, founder and chief executive of Xpercity, said: “Since officially launching Xpercity, we have pushed on in terms of the level of deals we are doing.
“Our end-to-end offer means we are motivated and able to act quickly to secure sites with high-potential and start creating better living environments quickly.
“Our ambitions are always underpinned by creating a strong sense of social good for the communities we work in, and Weavers Yard is no exception.”
