Wrenbridge appoints Spickernell brothers

Capstock Asset Management founders Tom and Ben Spickernell have joined Wrenbridge to head its Midlands operation.

The brothers replace former board director Jamie Hockaday, who quit 15 months ago to join rival developer Graftongate.

The duo set up Birmingham-based Capstock following the 2008 fall in property prices and have been working with clients to manage their assets and enhance value.

Prior to Capstock, Ben Spickernell worked for Midlands developer Maximus and Drivers Jonas, while Tom worked for Graftongate and Knight Frank in Birmingham.

Wrenbridge chief executive Ben Coles said: “We have been looking to recruit a Midlands team since Jamie Left. We started talking to Ben and Tom a couple of months ago, so it’s all happened very quickly.

“Tom and Ben joining gives us the resources to manage our existing projects and look to make a number of acquisitions in the coming months.”

Cambridge-based Wrenbridge opened its Ludgate Hill office in Birmingham in September 2008 as part of its move to turn the Palmer Capital Partners-backed regional business into a national concern.
