MIPIM 2019: Wolverhampton City Council, the West Midlands Combined Authority and developer Court Collaborations have announced plans for a £250m development in the city centre.
The Brewers Yard project will see 10 acres of brownfield land next to the University of Wolverhampton’s Springfield Campus transformed into a mixed-use scheme comprising 1,100 homes and 60,000 sq ft of retail and commercial space.
The development will include some of the tallest towers in the city, located a few hundred metres from the city’s new transport Interchange. It has been designed by Glancy Nicholls Architects.
The development is part of £4.3bn of investment in Wolverhampton. Construction is set to begin in 2020.

Councillor John Reynolds, cabinet member for city economy, added: “The Brewers Yard development will deliver top-quality living at the heart of our city, with connectivity to state-of-the-art transport facilities.
“It will have easy access to a reinvented city centre, providing a great leisure and sporting offer, a vibrant public events programme, an outstanding arts and culture offer, and a thriving commercial district with well-paid jobs.”
