Wingstop to arrive in Cheltenham’s Brewery Quarter

Wingstop has signed a deal to open a new restaurant at NFU Mutual’s Brewery Quarter in Cheltenham in summer 2025.

The US chicken chain has secured 2,052 sq ft on a 15-year lease, completing the final retail and F&B letting in the shopping centre.

Since debuting in the UK in 2018, Wingstop has grown to 50 locations across the country through master franchisee Lemon Pepper Holdings.

The chain will have 57 sites across the country by the end of 2024. Recent openings include Ealing, Hounslow, Clapham, Watford, Croydon and Wood Green, as well as at the Lakeside, Westfield Stratford City and Merry Hill shopping centres. The Stratford outlet is its biggest site to date, extending to 5,000 sq ft and hosting more than 160 covers on the first floor.

In September, Wingstop appointed a new head of acquisitions to drive its expansion plans.

The Brewery Quarter is owned by NFU Mutual and managed by Martin Commercial Properties.

Brasier Freeth advises Wingstop in the UK and has had the mandate to help the chain expand since 2020. KLM Retail acted for Martin Commercial Properties.
