LISTEN This year has tested the mental health of millions, with Covid-19 forcing the country to lock down and work from home. Property has been no exception, and EG’s 2020 mental health survey has revealed the toll that the pandemic has taken on real estate professionals.
With two-thirds of workers stating that coronavirus has had a negative impact on their mental health, and more than half saying their mental health has not improved (or has worsened) since last year, the results make for a worrying read, according to industry leaders.
EG tech and global reporter Lucy Alderson sits down with Avison Young UK principal and president Jason Sibthorpe, the Crown Estate’s head of HSE and wellbeing, Henrietta Frater, and Hollis HR partner Melanie Olrik to dig deeper into the survey results and ask what the industry needs to do next to improve the sector’s mental health post-Covid.
