Welsh government left with £22m of houses after CPOs

The Welsh government is stuck with houses it bought via compulsory purchase orders for £22m, after scrapping plans for a relief road by the Severn Bridge.

Dozens of properties were bought so that the M4 relief road could be built, but the plans were axed in 2019, and just one has since been sold, according to a Freedom of Information Act request from The Telegraph.
