Wales faces investment turmoil

Worries are mounting about future investment in Wales after last week’s EU referendum vote and the collapse of the Friars Walk shopping centre deal.

Wales voted to leave the EU with 53% opting out of the European Union. With just over £4bn invested by the EU since 2000, where does Brexit leave Wales? And what happens to devolution?

Just a week after the vote, industry leaders will gather for Estates Gazette’s annual Cardiff Question Time to discuss strategies on the best way forward for economic growth.

The panel includes:

  • Presentation by Michael Plaut, Chairman, CBI Wales
  • Chris Potts, director in planning, Savills
  • Chris Griffiths, founder, Tec Marina
  • Stephen Widnall, development director, Rightacres Property
  • David Roberts, consultant, Hugh James
  • Jo Hunt, senior fellow, UK in a Changing Europe, and Cardiff School of Law and Politics
  • Chaired by Damian Wild, editor, Estates Gazette
