Vistry has bought the first phase of White Laithe Developments’ Whinmoor site in Leeds.
Under the deal, Vistry will deliver 365 new homes, incorporating a mix of market and affordable homes from two-bedroom flats to five-bedroom townhouses.
The firm is set to lodge a planning application with Leeds City Council in the coming weeks, with initial infrastructure work targeted to begin on site later this year.
The scheme will be built on a 27-acre site which forms a part of the wider 2,000-home project to be delivered in partnership with Keyland Developments and Evans Property Group.
The wider plans also include the construction of a local centre, a primary school, public open space and partial regeneration of the East Leeds Orbital Road.
Luke Herring, head of land at Vistry, said: “Not only will the development provide much-needed new homes, but the range of new facilities will benefit both new and existing residents in the area.”
Titchmarsh & Bagley acted for White Laithe Developments; Vistry was unrepresented.
