Vectura breathes easy as Inhalation Centre given green light

A new Inhalation Centre of Excellence has been granted planning consent in Bristol.

The 100,000 sq ft site at the Bristol & Bath Science Park is being brought forward by Vectura, which specialises in inhaled drug development.

The state-of-the-art £58m building, which is expected to be completed in 2025, will enable Vectura to expand its operations and will provide an “optimal environment for innovation”.

The facility is targeting a BREEAM Excellent rating.

Vectura CEO Michael Austwick said: “The new-build will enable our already successful pharmaceutical company to continue its vital work, providing innovative inhalation and other advanced drug delivery solutions that have the potential to improve the lives of patients and consumers around the world.”
