USC takes space at Swindon’s Parade

Ignis Real Estate and Shearer Property Group have signed a deal with high street brand USC to take its first store in Swindon at The Parade shopping centre, Wiltshire.

The centre’s Bhs store has been redeveloped to create 80,000 sq ft. Bhs has taken back 45,000 sq ft and USC will take 6,200 sq ft over two floors on a 10-year lease.

The Parade shopping centre comprises 300,000 sq ft of retail, housing names such as Debenhams, Peacocks and Superdrug.

Adam Markwell of Shearer said: “Swindon has transformed itself recently with the replacement of the oppressive canopies on Regent Street and the upgrading of the public realm. The Parade is at the centre of this new development. Swindon has been identified as one of Europe’s fastest growing business locations, and we are looking forward to welcoming more new retailers to The Parade.”

Lunson Mitchenall and GVA acted for Ignis and Shearer; CB Richard Ellis acted for USC.
