WR Berkley has put its 387,000 sq ft City of London tower the Scalpel, EC3, up for sale.
The building, which has been valued at circa £820m, was more than 80% let back in December last year after insurance firm Chaucer went under offer on 44,000 sq ft at the 35-floor tower.
In April, enterprise software company SAP signed for 20,782 sq ft on floors 19 and 20, leaving just three floors still available in the building totalling 28,500 sq ft.
WR Berkley itself occupies around a quarter of the building, and other tenants include law firm Morrison & Foerster, which occupies levels 21 to 25, private equity firm Lombard International, National Australia Bank, insurance group Convex and Britannia Financial Group.
US insurance firm WR Berkley secured planning permission to build the tower in 2013. It acted as financier and developer on the scheme.
WR Berkley has appointed Cushman & Wakefield, also one of its leasing agents on the property, and Eastdil Secured to find a buyer.
