Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield has been given the green light for its £1.3bn, 1,700- home scheme in White City, W12.
The Glenn Howells-designed project revises earlier proposals approved by Hammersmith & Fulham in 2017, reducing the tallest towers to 35 storeys from 45.
The number of homes, meanwhile, has been lifted from 1,100 across the nine buildings. Twenty per cent will be affordable.
The development will also include close to 30,000 sq ft of commercial and community space.
Hammersmith & Fulham’s planning committee voted unanimously to approve the plans, which will now be referred to the mayor for his final decision.
The five-acre site, to the north of URW’s Westfield London shopping centre, has been cleared and is currently being used for temporary operations to support the wider construction. It is located between Wood Lane to the west and the Westway (the A40) to the north.
