Nick Johnson, deputy chief executive of Manchester-based Urban Splash, is to leave the firm at end of the month.
Johnson helped to establish the company with fellow directors and co-founders Tom Bloxham and Jonathan Falkingham. He has been a director of the company since 1999.
Recent Urban Splash projects overseen by Johnson include New Islington in Manchester and Park Hill in Sheffield.
The firm is currently undertaking redundancy consultations across the firm.
According to Urban Splash’s last accounts, filed in September, the group posted pretax losses of £9.3m and debts of £234.4m for the year to March 2011. Turnover was down by £5m to £29.1m.
Johnson declined to comment.
Urban Splash confirmed his departure but refused to comment on potential redundancies.
