The UK’s tallest folly is being sold alongside two historic listed properties after its owner went bust last year.
Eddisons has been instructed to market the Grade I listed Hadlow Tower in Kent, with its 53m-tall folly.
Bolton Percy Gatehouse, a 15th century timber framed gatehouse in North Yorkshire, and Wellbrook Manor, a 14th century manor house in Hereford, are also for sale.
The properties were rented out as holiday homes by the Vivat Trust, a registered charity which focused on restoring historic buildings, until the trust’s directors called in insolvency firm Begbies Traynor in August 2014.
The properties have not been given a guide price.
Abdul Jambo, associate director at Eddisons, said: “The properties are of such a unique and historic nature that we have rarely, if ever, seen anything comparable come to the open market.”
