Trinity confirms plans to move MEN Media to Oldham

Media group Trinity Mirror has confirmed plans to relocate MEN Media, publisher of the Manchester Evening News to Oldham by late September.

MEN Media is currently based within Allied London’s Spinningfields scheme in central Manchester. Trinity Mirror indicated that it would move the operation when it bought MEN Media from Guardian Media Group for around £45m earlier this year.

Aside from a small office, which will be retained in central Manchester for its city distribution management, staff will be relocated to Trinity Mirror’s premises in Chadderton, Oldham, where MEN Media’s newspapers are printed.

In February, EGi News revealed that law firm DWF is due to strike a deal to relocate into MEN Media’s 82,000 sq ft of space at Scott Place in Spinningfields.
