A hotel that hosted Angelina Jolie while she was filming Tomb Raider 2 in Snowdonia National Park, north Wales, is being marketed for around £1.6m.
Hand Picked Hotel’s Seiont Manor Hotel at Llanrug, Caernarfon, comprises 28 ensuite bedrooms, major conference and function facilities and an indoor heated swimming pool.
Set in 22 acres and surrounded by farmland, lakes and rivers, the hotel is a popular wedding venue.
Jolie stayed at the hotel in 2002 while filming Lara Croft Tomb Raider: the Cradle of Life during a six-week shoot at six locations in Snowdonia.
Adjacent to the hotel and also offered for sale is a disused Grade II-listed manor house with planning consent for an additional seven bedrooms and meeting rooms.
Seiont Manor was built in the 18th century as a farmstead and first developed as a hotel after the estate was acquired by a private couple in 1986. Hand Picked Hotels acquired the hotel in 1999.
Colliers International and Christie & Co are acting for Hand Picked Hotels.
