TJ Hughes has leased the former BHS store at East Kilbride Shopping Centre near Glasgow.
The UK discount department store brand has agreed a 15-year lease with landlord Orion Capital Managers for a 31,700 sq ft store.
To date there is only one TJ Hughes in Scotland, located in Glasgow city centre, with East Kilbride and two others set to open before Christmas.
East Kilbride Shopping Centre is one of the largest retail and leisure destinations in Scotland, extending to over 1.2 m sq ft and with an annual footfall of more than 15m. It is anchored by Debenhams, M&S, Sainsbury’s and Primark. Other retailers include Topshop, Zara, French Connection and H&M.
