The Next Big Thing winner announced

The-next-big-thing-logoFrom the weird and wonderful to the downright ingenious, Estates Gazette can finally reveal the winner of its The Next Big Thing international competition.

The challenge, in association with Cluttons, called on property professionals to put together ideas on how urban development can solve a worldwide, burgeoning space crisis, as the UN predicts the world’s population will exceed 10bn by 2038.

JLL director Neil Worrall’s sustainable Aquacities idea wowed a panel of judges and has been crowned the winner.

Entries were submitted from across the globe in the past three months, and were reviewed by judges including RICS senior vice-president Amanda Clack and Cluttons managing partner John Wood.

As the winner, Worrall will receive £1,000 and has had his idea designed for the front cover of this week’s issue of Estates Gazette magazine.
