Tesla plugs into Bicester technology park

Tesla has signed for 24,000 sq ft at Albion Land’s Catalyst Bicester technology park in Oxfordshire.

The deal is a first for Tesla in the region.

A second technology-driven design and manufacturing company, which is yet to be named, has also signed for space at the park, taking 26,600 sq ft. Both firms will move into the second phase of the park, which will ultimately deliver some 400,000 sq ft of space.

Tenants already at the park include aerospace company Evolito and Mercedes-Benz EV subsidiary Yasa.

Simon Parsons, director of Albion Land said: “It’s a sign of the strength of the park and the location that both Tesla and a further tech-driven design and manufacturing company have chosen Catalyst Bicester.

“We expect our speculative Building 8 to let readily and look forward to the further phases of development in 2024 to meet sustained occupier demand.”

Building 8 on phase two extends to 38,710 sq ft, while phase three of the scheme will provide 110,000 sq ft.

CBRE and Colliers International are letting agents on Catalyst Bicester; Knight Frank acted for Tesla; Savills is advising the unnamed manufacturer.
