Tech company Aspire Technology Solutions has picked Adderstone Group’s Pipewell Quay office in Gateshead to be its new headquarters.
The company has prelet 30,000 sq ft at the scheme, located on the site of the former Baja Beach Club on Gateshead Quays, on a 12-year lease.
The move has been made as the company looks to expand its 150-strong workforce.
Pipewell Quays will see the former nightclub developed into a three-floor grade-A office scheme, and the scheme is earmarked for completion in spring 2021.
Councillor Martin Gannon, leader of Gateshead Council, said: “With this brave speculative project, Adderstone Group has proven [there is] demand for quality grade-A office space in Gateshead.
“The fact that Pipewell Quay will enable Aspire to remain in the borough, continue its spectacular growth and invest in the North East’s connectivity infrastructure is an added bonus.”
