The developer says that it has secured a “major international hotel operator” for both hotels, but that it is not ready to name the party at this stage.
The scheme has been designed by Liverpool-based architect Falconer Chester Hall and comprises a 140-bed three star hotel, plus a 130-bed budget hotel.
The student accommodation will comprise 113 studio units, and the scheme will have a 247-space basement car park.
Work is expected to start on site in the third quarter of 2010 with the first phase expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2011, and the rest of the development early in 2012.
