Stoford on the ball with 1.2m sq ft Liverpool industrial scheme

Stoford Developments and Gallan Group have confirmed plans for a 1.2m sq ft warehouse and logistics development at Stonebridge Cross in Liverpool, following Everton FC’s decision not to build a new stadium at the site.

Everton had been considering two sites – Liverpool 57 at Stonebridge Cross and Bramley Moore Dock at Liverpool Waters – as the club plans to move from its current home at Goodison Park, where it has played for most of its 125-year history.

It confirmed last month that it had chosen Bramley Moore as its preferred site.

Dan Gallagher, joint managing director of Stoford Developments, said the decision means that the development of Liverpool 57 can now go ahead, bringing major investment and hundreds of jobs to the region, in partnership with Liverpool City Council.

The recent completion of the estate road, combined with the existing planning consent, leaves the site ready for immediate development.

The 55-acre site has detailed planning consent for 1.2 m sq ft of B8 accommodation and immediately deliverable design and build solutions on freehold or leasehold terms, with industrial and warehouse units ranging from 86,000 sq ft to 1.1m sq ft.

Located near junction 4 of the M57, the site is just six miles from the Port of Liverpool and 12 miles from Jaguar Land Rover and Liverpool John Lennon Airport at Speke.
