Stella McCartney has won planning permission for a new flagship shop at 23 Old Bond Street, W1, in the heart of London’s most prime shopping area.
The luxury fashion retailer has got the go-ahead from Westminster city council to convert the second floor of offices at the building into shop space.
It will complement and expand the existing retail-oriented basement and ground floors.
The Househam Henderson-designed plans also include a new shop front for the grade-II listed building and new stairs.
In an application document, Stella McCartney’s planning agent, Nathaniel Lichfield & Partners, said: “Stella McCartney is a world-renowned, high-end retailer with flagship stores across the world including in New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Milan, Berlin and Hong Kong.”
He added: “The company currently has a store at No 30 Bruton Street and is looking to expand its presence in the West End, making a long-term commitment to this part of Westminster and further contributing to this internationally distinguished retail district by introducing a flagship store on Old Bond Street.”
