St Modwen has chosen its next chief executive, appointing a former boss of energy group Centrica to lead the company.
Sarwjit Sambhi will take the post on 2 November 2020, replacing interim chief executive and financial officer Rob Hudson. Hudson has held the role since predecessor Mark Allan took the CEO seat at Landsec earlier this year.
Sambhi was most recently chief executive of Centrica Consumer and a member of the board at Centrica, his latest role in 19 years with the company. Earlier in his career he worked at consultancy Booz Allen & Hamilton.
Sambhi said: “I am proud to be joining St Modwen. It is a strong business with considerable opportunities to leave a lasting legacy by creating homes, establishing new communities and delivering high-quality industrial and logistics spaces.”
