Three Rivers District Council and Countryside Properties have entered into an agreement to redevelop central South Oxhey, an 11.8-acre estate near Watford, Hertfordshire.
Proposals include 514 mixed-tenure homes alongside 55,295 sq ft of retail space and a redeveloped public realm.
Countryside is working in collaboration with affordable housing provider Home Group on the development.
Richard Cherry, chief executive of Countryside Properties’ Partnerships division said: “We have 30 years’ experience in local authority estate regeneration. Our vision is to create an integrated and well-designed new neighbourhood with high-quality housing for South Oxhey, and we will do that in close partnership with the local community.”
