Socius grows £500m Botanic Place team with hire from Lendlease

Socius has appointed Katrina Lamberton as senior project manager.

Lamberton has spent more than 20 years at Lendlease, working on projects including the 60-acre transport hub at Euston, 5m sq ft office development at the International Quarter in east London for the FCA’s new head office and most recently a 50-acre mixed-use scheme at Silvertown Quays.

In her new role, she will be part of the project team responsible for Botanic Place, a £500m development in Cambridge. The scheme will bring forward an office building as well as preserve historic public house  The Flying Pig, and create 15,000 sq ft of internal amenities, events, and food and beverage space.

In addition, the scheme will deliver 40,000 sq ft of terraces on multiple levels for both private and communal uses.

Botanic Place is being delivered on behalf of Railpen.

Barry Jessup, managing director at Socius, said: “Katrina’s expertise in planning and delivering large complex schemes will be valuable as we bring forward the plans for Botanic Place, which will set a new benchmark for sustainable workspace in Cambridge.”
