Social: JLL shows Pride in Leeds

JLL supported the LGBT community at this year’s Leeds Pride by becoming the first global property adviser to march in the event.

Staff from the firm’s Leeds and London offices along with client and peer companies, that are part of the UK LGBT networking group for property professionals, marched in the parade to celebrate diversity and acceptance of the LGBT community.

JLL lead director, Yorkshire & the North East, Jeff Pearey, said: “Leeds Pride was a great opportunity for JLL to support the LGBT community and its allies, and aligns with our own ambition of building a more diverse and inclusive workplace.

“The UK property industry has needed change in terms of diversity and equality. It is no secret there is still some way to go – but change is definitely happening.

“Our involvement was a huge statement displaying our commitment to change not just at JLL but the property industry as a whole.”
