Eco World Ballymore has unveiled plans for a 35m high suspended “sky pool” at its Embassy Gardens development in Nine Elms, SW8.

The outdoor swimming pool will link two residential buildings at the 10th storey, allowing residents to swim from one to the other.

The roofs of the buildings will incorporate a spa, summer bar and orangery.

Constructed from 20cm thick glass, the pool will be entirely transparent and structure-free, 25m long, 5m wide and 3m deep, with a water depth of 1.2m.

It was designed by Arup Associates with specialist input from Eckersley O’Callaghan and aquarium designer Reynolds.

Embassy Gardens is a 2,000-home development adjacent to the new US Embassy.
