Home technology company SharkNinja has signed the first lease at Battersea Power Station’s offices at 50 Electric Boulevard, SW11, for its EMEA HQ.
SharkNinja has leased 32,000 sq ft at the building. The deal is an expansion for the company, which already has a 25,000 sq ft office inside the power station, as well as a brand and demonstration testing facility on Arches Lane next to the power station.
SharkNinja has a $10bn (£7.9bn) market cap, best known for its Shark vacuum cleaners, Shark Beauty hair stylers, and Ninja air fryers and kitchen appliances.
Half of its existing office is dedicated to product research and development. However, the company said it required more space, as it has grown since agreeing the lease in 2022.
The space will include testing facilities for new products, such as a beauty salon and demonstration kitchen.
Employees will move into the building, which was designed by Foster + Partners, from this autumn. It will house up to 320 employees over two floors.
Works on the 200,000 sq ft 50 Electric Boulevard recently completed. Amenities include a 240-person space called the Light Box with a presentation area, nearly 800 plants, giant skylights and an 1,800 sq ft communal roof garden.
Dan Westley, leasing director at Battersea Power Station Development Company, said: “This is testament to the draw of the vibrant mixed-use community we have established and highlights the demand for best-in-class tech-led sustainable office space in London.”
Tom Brown, president of SharkNinja EMEA, said: “This move reflects our commitment to fostering innovation and providing our employees with a dynamic, cutting-edge workspace.
“The expansion is another step in strengthening our presence across EMEA and demonstrates our commitment to SharkNinja’s future. Battersea Power Station offers an inspiring environment that supports our growth and aligns with our vision for the future.”
