SEGRO signs its biggest industrial letting this year

Rhodes Freight Services has taken more than 39,000 sq ft in the Whitby Business Centre at SEGRO’s Slough Trading Estate.

The freight company has leased the centre for 10 years at a passing rent of £822,423 per annum, or £21 per sq ft. The deal marks SEGRO’s largest industrial leasing of the year.

The lease was signed after renovation work, which included upgrades, repairs and modifications to meet Rhodes Freight’s needs for technology and temperature-control systems.

Additionally, all gas-dependent heating systems were replaced with electric heating and energy-efficient LED lighting to reduce carbon emissions and enhance operational efficiency.
