Green light for 17-acre Leicester science/office park

Leicester council has given the go ahead for a 17-acre science and office park adjoining the National Space Science Centre. The development in the Abbey Park Road and Abbey Lane area of Leicester will comprise a 266,954 sq ft science park, 44,672 sq ft of offices, 128 waterside apartments, 47 two to three bed houses, a 30,139 sq ft car showroom, and a new access road to serve the park and the National Space Centre.

Regional variations in CBI’s business confidence data

Manufacturers across the UK believe the worst of the recession is now behind them, research out today showed. According to the latest CBI/Business Strategies quarterly Regional Trends Survey, business confidence in most areas has risen for the first time in more than two years.
