Welsh assembly row lingers

Ministers are at loggerheads with the Richard Rogers Partnership over the £47m Welsh assembly building. It had been intended that the Cardiff Bay building would be open in January 2003.

Lords put an end to railway line dispute

British Rail has lost its legal dispute over the ownership of sleepers and rails along nine miles of the old Halls Tramroad, which was once used to transport coal and minerals from mines in Ebbw Vale.
