Seaforth Land is understood to have appointed Savills as the leasing agent for its planned redevelopment at CAA House in Holborn, WC2.
Current tenant the Civil Aviation Authority is to vacate the property in December this year. Seaforth Land and its partner on the development, QuadReal Property Group, are aiming to start revamping the two interconnected buildings at 43-59 Kingsway and 1 Kemble Street next year, subject to obtaining planning permission this year.
Located close to Covent Garden, CAA house, also known as Space House, was designed by Richard Seifert & Partners for developer Harry Hyams and was completed in 1969. It currently provides 230,000 sq ft of office space within the eight storeys fronting Kingsway and 15 storeys on Kemble Street.
QuadReal, which was set up in 2016 to manage the C$18bn (£10bn) real estate investment arm of British Columbia Investment Management Corporation, and Seaforth Land acquired the Grade II listed CAA House last year from Almacantar for £165m.
The deal was understood to be the first UK investment since QuadReal was established.
Seaforth Land and Savills declined to comment.
