A detached house measuring just 4m in width was one of the more unusual lots to sell at SDL Auctions’ sale last week.
The two-bedroom property, in Goldhill Road in Leicester, is thought to be one of the narrowest detached properties in the UK.
Located in the affluent Knighton area of the city, the property sold for £5,000 more than the guide price of £150,000.
According to Rightmove, over the past year the average price of detached properties in the area has stood at £495,712.
SDL Auctions’ Graham Penny sold 11 of the 21 lots offered at the 3 September sale, equating to a success rate of 53%, raising a total of £1.3m.
SDL’s next Leicester auction will take place on 22 October at Leicester City Football Club.
