Scarborough: We’ll invest in Sheffield despite coronavirus

Scarborough International Properties has vowed to keep investing in Sheffield despite the rising impact of coronavirus on businesses across the country.

The developer has announced it is still pushing forward with a number of regeneration projects it is spearheading in the region.

It is looking to start construction on the Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park within the next six to nine months. The developer will build a stadium for the Sheffield Eagles rugby league club (pictured), office and conference space as well as retail and leisure units.

Scarborough is also aiming to present its masterplan for the wider regeneration of the Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park. Phase one will deliver 750,000 sq ft of business space and public realm space.

At the Sheffield Digital Campus scheme, the developer is aiming to start construction work on the fourth and final 62,000 sq ft office building this summer, ready for occupation at the end of 2021.
