Martin Samworth is to step down from CBRE after almost four decades with the business.
The chairman of CBRE’s APAC/EMEA advisory services division will leave the business at the end of the year.
Samworth has been with the agent for 37 years, after starting as a graduate at St Quintin.
CBRE president and chief executive Bob Sulentic said: “CBRE’s success in EMEA is a great credit to Martin. Notably, Martin was instrumental over the past decade in securing and integrating several acquisitions in EMEA and in attracting top talent to our company. He has also been a tireless champion of the CBRE brand and a great teammate to all of us. On behalf of everyone at CBRE, I want to thank Martin for everything he has done for our company and wish him the very best for the future.”
Samworth added: “I have had an immensely fulfilling and enjoyable career over the past 37 years with CBRE. Along the way, I have worked with many inspirational people, made some tremendous friendships and learnt so much. Now I am looking forward to applying what I have learnt to new ventures and different business sectors. CBRE is a truly amazing business and it has been an honour to have been able to play a key role in contributing to its growth and on-going success over many years.”
