RSPB flocks to Edinburgh Park

The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) is to relocate to Edinburgh Park from Dunedin House at Ravelston Terrace.

The RSPB has signed a lease with landlord Miller Lochside View until January 2020. It will take the whole ground floor – 11,860 sq ft  – at 2 Lochside View.

Ben Reed, director at Jones Lang LaSalle, acted for the RSPB. Commenting on the deal, he said: “Having considered both city centre and west Edinburgh options, 2 Lochside View offered the right blend of price, quality of space and accessibility for staff, with an existing fit-out helping to offset the costs of relocation.”

Duncan Orr- Ewing, Head of Land Management at RSPB, added: “We are pleased to be moving to Edinburgh Park. Good quality office space and access to local amenities, especially public transport networks were key considerations in influencing our choice of location.

“As a conservation charity, concerned about climate change, we also have targets for reducing our carbon dioxide emissions, and a more energy efficient office will help us as part of these efforts”.

GVA Grimley acted for Miller Lochside View.
