The RICS is to host an evening dedicated to encouraging greater ethnic diversity in the property industry.
The event, on 24 October at RICS HQ on Parliament Square, SW1, celebrates the launch of the DiverseCity Surveyors network.
Employers will get the opportunity to explore recruitment practices, workplace policies and culture, and actions that can be taken to support BAME individuals to progress into leadership and management roles.
It will also give students and professionals working in the built environment an opportunity to gain career advice and a greater understanding of the industry from their peers.
Egbert Perry, chairman and chief executive at Integral, will deliver a keynote speech followed by a panel discussion chaired by Sandra Kerr OBE, race equality director at Business in the Community. The debate will explore the topics of recruitment practices and workplace culture, workforce diversity policies for employers and promoting diverse workplaces and priorities for tackling discrimination and bias.
