A resurgent JLL has almost tripled the total number of office disposals acted on in Nottingham this year.
The national giant secured second place in EGi’s Nottingham office agents league table, stealing the position from Innes England by finding tenants for 144,000 sq ft of space in the year to the end of August.
FHP remains at the top of the table, albeit with a reduced margin despite increasing its total amount of space disposed by almost 90%; while Innes England – despite dropping to third place – came close to doubling its previous year’s figure.
The market was buoyed by a number of significant deals, the largest of which was the 62,243 sq ft letting to Parexel at Castle Wharf, a deal which propelled Bilfinger GVA into the top four after its debut in the league table last year helped it climb more places than anyone else this year. Gerald Eve also entered the standings with its 53,800 sq ft disposal to Vision Express at Mere House.
The story in the second half of the table was mixed, with familiar faces Geo Hallam & Sons and HEB Chartered Surveyors repeating last year’s performance placing eighth and ninth respectively, and NG Chartered Surveyors, achieving sixth after venturing into the top three in 2013/14.
They were joined by Savills which, having almost halved the amount of space acted on, slipped five places down the rankings into tenth.
Overall, take-up figures across the market were healthy for the year, with the number of deals completed returning to levels similar to those in 2012/13 after a slump last year, and average deal sizes being pushed up by the number of large deals transacted.
