Global reinsurance provider SCOR has signed a deal to take two and a half floors at 8 Bishopsgate, EC2, in the City of London.
The French company, which provides property, casualty and life reinsurance, has signed a 15-year lease for around 50,000 sq ft in the Mitsubishi Estate and Stanhope owned tower. The rent achieved was in the region of £91.24 per sq ft, according to EG Radius data.
SCOR will be moving from Asia House, 10 Lime Street, EC3, where it occupies seven floors.
The move comes as part of the company’s wider sustainability strategy to achieve a net-zero carbon footprint in operation by 2030.
This deal brings the 50-storey building to 360,000 sq ft let.
SCOR chief executive Thierry Léger said: “This move reflects our commitment to fostering collaboration among our teams as employees will now be brought together in one building.
“It also aligns with our dedication to sustainability, as we strive to create a greener and more efficient work environment for our people and a more welcoming space for our partners.”
