Cardiff is planning the UK’s largest renewable energy project, building a tidal lagoon power plant stretching from Cardiff to Newport.
Once connected to the grid, the £8bn project will generate enough power every year to power every home in Wales – for 120 years.
Those ambitious plans are still at an early stage, though, as the company behind the project, Tidal Lagoon Power, waits for an official response from the government.
