Redrow to build Grosvenor’s Oxford resi scheme

Grosvenor Britain & Ireland has appointed Redrow to build 207 homes at its 900-home Barton Park scheme near Oxford.

Grosvenor describes the scheme, which is being delivered through a joint venture with Oxford City Council, as a “21st century garden suburb”.

Barton Park will provide almost 900 new homes, 40% of which will be for social rent, along with community facilities.

Redrow will apply for planning permission this year for its section. Hill Residential won the first phase of construction in 2015.

Barton Park’s design code requires renewable energy on site and homes that meet a high level of environmental performance.
