Derwent London has let two further floors in the White Collar Factory, EC1, setting a record rent for the building.
Describing the 237,000 sq ft building as “revolutionary”, chief executive John Burns said the new tenant on the ninth and tenth floors would be paying around £65 per sq ft. He would not name the tenant but said the tower was now 60% let, with vacant space in the low-rise buildings of around 50,000 sq ft.
Already confirmed as tenants are software business Adobe, which is taking 28,600 sq ft at a rent of around £62.50 per sq ft; The Office Group, which has taken 41,300 sq ft at £57.50 per sq ft; engineer AKT II, which is moving into 28,400 sq ft in October at £57.50 per sq ft; and BGL, owner of ComparetheMarket.com, which is taking 14,300 sq ft at £62.50 per sq ft.
Burns said he looked forward to welcoming Alexander Meerkat to the campus.
