Rail investment ‘pie in the sky’

The 10-year investment plan in the railways is pie in the sky, according to shadow transport minister Bernard Jenkin.

He said Railtrack and the government had neither the money nor skills to cope with passenger growth.

Railtrack has reduced forecasts
