Asset manager and developer Quadrant has promoted John Maddison to the role of managing partner, after almost a decade at the company as a partner.
Maddison will work alongside the company’s founding partners Christopher Daniel and Tristram Gethin to oversee day-to-day operations, including accounting, HR and wider operations.
He will also continue leading the company’s UK retail and leisure team, which focuses on investing in out-of-town retail and leisure park assets and oversees a portfolio that includes assets such as Gallagher Shopping Park and Star City in Birmingham.
Maddison previously spent more than nine years at British Land and two years at Nuveen.
Christopher Daniel, founding partner of Quadrant, said: “We have created the position of managing partner for the first time as our business has reached a size that means it will benefit from having somebody of John’s calibre coupled with his thorough knowledge of the firm in a management position of this kind.”
