PwC makes strong commitment to UK offices

PwC has committed to retaining all of its office space, even as its staff switch to work from home.

The big four accountant, which employs 22,000 people in Britain, has said it has no intention of downsizing its office presence in 15 cities in the UK.

The announcement is a stark contrast to Deloitte’s decision to close offices in Gatwick, Liverpool, Nottingham and Southampton.

Kevin Ellis, chairman of PWC in Britain, said: “If anything at the moment we need more space than ever because of social distancing.”
