Property ‘Uber’ eyes expansion

Viewber, an outsourced viewing service for the property industry, is to add commercial real estate viewings to its current residential offer.

Founder Ed Mead, a former executive director at estate agent Douglas & Gordon, set up the proptech company last year. It allows property viewings to take place even if the agent is unable to attend.

The system has been described as the “Uber” of the real estate world and employs a stable of freelancers based around the country who can perform residential viewings as required.

Now Mead has plans to expand the concept to the commercial sector and is convinced that a lack of expert property knowledge will not be a stumbling block.

He spoke to EG about the future of outsourced viewings.
