The JLL Property Triathlon North took place last Friday (28 July) at MediaCityUK in Salford, Greater Manchester, and raised £25,000 for JLL’s corporate charity Crisis and partner Peel Group’s charity The Christie (Tim Bacon Foundation).
Hundreds descended on Salford, including BBC presenter Louise Minchin, to take part in the sprint triathlon, swimming 750m, cycling 20km and running 5km.
Poppy Hilton from Lichfields won the women’s race, coming home in 1.25.42, while Danny Hope of Hydrock, stormed the men’s race in 1.06.08. Hydrock also won the corporate cup.
In the mixed relay, Savills’ Light Lightening won in 1.10.10, while BDP’s imaginatively titled BDP1 won the women’s relay in a time of 1.13.34. The gold medal in the men’s relay was picked up by WSP Sprinters, who raced home in 1.02.54.
