Property salaries and bonuses surge

The average salary in the property industry has surpassed £50,000 for the first time in seven years, now standing at £53,884.

The average bonus has also ballooned, jumping 43% to £10,202 thanks to a stellar year for UK property investment in 2015, when volumes totalled more than £70bn.

Other highlights include a narrowing of the gender pay gap from 26% to 23%, driven by women achieving a faster growth rate in average salary than their male counterparts.

Women’s average salary surged by 5.5%, while men’s pay grew by 2.2%.
